Canning recipes

Does anyone happen to have a canning recipe that has bellpeppers, banana peppers, and sliced hotdogs in a sauce? My grandma used to can this and I haven't been able to get mine to taste like hers. Thanks Razz

I've never heard that one, but I have heard if you take green tomatoes and wrap them up in newspaper then put them in a cool, dark place...you can have freash garden tomatoes during the winter by exposing them to warmth/light. Not sure if this one works, just heard it the other day.

I think it is worth a try, I will look and see if I have a tomato and freeze it tonight and them take it out and let it thaw. I was thinking about one think. Expansion, Ice expands 13%. So one may have to pre slice the tomato first before freezing it.
